The Essentials in Fund Development

The good practices covered in this training are now considered essentials in fund development and they’re here to stay. It’s crucial to consider them and incorporate the ones appropriate for our organization into our philanthropic practices in order to meet donor needs and reach our objectives. With more than 20 years of experience in the field of philanthropy and having worked for a variety of organizations, Marie-Claude is familiar with the reality of smaller nonprofit organizations.

Building a Strong Philanthropic Culture

A strong organizational philanthropic culture is about much more than donations and it plays a key role in the success of all nonprofit organizations. How can we ensure that all our team members (employees, volunteers, board members) share the same values and practices that encourage philanthropy? How do you take all stakeholders to another level of engagement, convince them to innovate and think outside the box, and commit to making real changes? The training will cover:

  • Different forms of engagement and ways of contributing to a philanthropic culture;

Communicating Impact

Communicating impact is something all nonprofit organizations need to be doing, especially when it comes to philanthropy. As funders, donors, volunteers and board members are looking to make a real difference, organizations must be able to identify, measure and demonstrate their impact in order to retain and engage different stakeholders. This training will cover:

  • Impact reporting;
  • Why it’s important to communicate impact;
  • How to identify, measure and demonstrate impact;
  • Quantitative and qualitative methods and tools;
  • How to communicate impact.
Creating Successful Funding Proposals

Many nonprofit organizations already do a great job when it comes to completing grant applications, but writing and submitting proposals to foundations and corporations can also be an excellent source of potential funding. While this process requires an investment of time and energy, it can prove to be less challenging when strategically undertaken. This webinar will better equip organizations in the development of compelling proposals. The training will cover:

  • Reasons why funding requests are denied and how to avoid these errors;
  • Targeting appropriate funders and to how to research them;
  • Content organization and writing;
  • Other important considerations.
Engaging Across Generations

The importance of attracting younger generations as volunteers and donors has become essential for all nonprofit organizations, whether it be for your events, your board of directors, or various volunteer positions. We all need to adapt to this reality by developing strategies that specifically target this demographic and encourage them to get involved with your cause. The training will cover:
